About the Role
The Director of IT plays a critical leadership role, serving as Zirrus’ subject matter expert on technologies that power innovative business solutions. You'll be a driver of strategy, partner with teams across internal and external businesses, lead a revenue generating business unit, and bring best-in-class technology experiences to life.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and execute multiple high‑impact projects simultaneously
- Develop and manage KPIs that drive accountability and results
- Oversee budgeting, P&L responsibility, and capital planning
- Support pre‑sales managed IT activities, quoting, and delivery of solutions
- Serve as advisor between sales, customer success, and implementation teams
- Develop and refine IT processes and best practices for efficiency and scalability
- Drive product strategy, vision, and lifecycle for Managed Services (ZTS), including client onsite discovery and implementation
- Evaluate and enhance IT products and services to elevate customer experience
- Lead, coach, and develop high‑performing teams
- Partner with Service Desk Manager and Advanced Support Teams for internal/external IT support excellence
- Guide costing, documentation, and lifecycle of managed services and special projects
- Build strong relationships across customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and high standards
- Implement new technologies that align with evolving business needs
- Boost cross‑department communication and team efficiency
- Manage department commitments to ensure successful outcomes during critical situations
- Assess project feasibility, costs, and financial requirements
- Drive continuous improvement across network and service management operations

- Experience with VoIP rollouts, routing protocols, and network topologies (MEF preferred)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of leadership/team‑building experience
- Background in Infrastructure, Network, Security, and DR design and architecture
- Proven experience with cost modeling and analysis
- Experience in Managed IT Services is a strong plus
